Boston Celtics assistant coach Will Hardy is a candidate for the open head coaching position with the Utah Jazz.

Hardy is known for being a long-time assistant with the Spurs and was around the team since he was an intern in 2010. He was also the head coach of the Spurs’ summer league teams in 2017 and 2018.

He was also on the coaching staff for the 2019 FIBA World Cup Team and the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Similar to Ime Udoka, Hardy was groomed under Gregg Popovich, one of the best coaches in the NBA.

And with the immediate success Udoka’s had as a first-year head coach in Boston, perhaps more of Popovich’s assistants will be looked at for head coaching position.
