The Boston Celtics may have found a diamond in the rough with rookie guard JD Davison, who was drafted 53rd overall this summer.
One of the words Brad Stevens used to describe Davison was โexplosiveโ, which is encouraging to hear from the point guard position. We saw a bit of his explosion in Summer League, however, I think itโs worth taking a look at his SportsCenter Top 10 moment!
Alabama played host to Auburn on Jan. 11 where Davison threw down an absolute monster hammer of a dunk late in the fourth quarter. He finished with 9 points and 4 assists.
This wasnโt just a normal posterizing dunk that Iโm talking about here. Davison slammed it over the 7-footer Walker Kessler.
Davison’s two way will allow him to float between Maine and Boston throughout the season. Itโll be great to see what he can bring to the table after more time in the Celtics system.
