Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics: JD Davison throws down HUGE hammer in poster dunk

The Boston Celtics may have found a diamond in the rough with rookie guard JD Davison, who was drafted 53rd overall this summer.

One of the words Brad Stevens used to describe Davison was “explosive”, which is encouraging to hear from the point guard position. We saw a bit of his explosion in Summer League, however, I think it’s worth taking a look at his SportsCenter Top 10 moment!

Alabama played host to Auburn on Jan. 11 where Davison threw down an absolute monster hammer of a dunk late in the fourth quarter. He finished with 9 points and 4 assists.

This wasn’t just a normal posterizing dunk that I’m talking about here. Davison slammed it over the 7-footer Walker Kessler.

Davison’s two way will allow him to float between Maine and Boston throughout the season. It’ll be great to see what he can bring to the table after more time in the Celtics system.
