The Boston Celtics have put a lot on the shoulders of veteran big man Al Horford this season and he’s delivered in every moment and in a variety of ways, as he’s thriving in his 16th NBA season, his fifth in Boston.
Horford is having a career year from 3-point range, shooting 42.6 percent from behind the arc, making two per game on four attempts this season.
However, if you saw ESPN’s Kirk Goldsberry most active Tweet from today, you’ll see that Horford is leading the league in 3-pointers from the right corner, hitting them at 55 percent from that zone.
Horford has been exceptional on both ends of the court for Boston this season, playing 30.4 minutes per game, his highest average since 2017-18.
The Celtics have leaned heavily on Al during the first half of the season with Rob Williams recovering from surgery. He’s played a ton and the Celtics need to start preserving him for the playoffs.
