Jayson Tatum has connected on 994 3-pointers in his six-year career with the Boston Celtics.
At 24-years-old, and 416 games, Tatum can become the youngest player in NBA history to make 1,000 3-pointers in his career.
Tatum will be the youngest player to hit 1,000, joining his best friend Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, and D’Angelo Russell as the youngest in NBA history.
It’s worth mentioning that although Tatum will be the youngest player to hit 1,000 3’s, he is not the fastest player to do so.
Buddy Heild did it in 349 games. Donovan Mitchell did it in 355 games. Steph Curry did it in 369 games. Ray Allen did it in 473 games.
Tatum is on pace to become the greatest 3-point shooters in Celtics history, while his numbers suggest he’ll be in line with some of the top shooters in NBA history.
There’s 142 players in NBA history who have made 1,000+ 3-pointers. Tatum can be the next one and the youngest one.
Boston plays on Monday in Detroit, where Tatum can reach closer to joining the 1,000 3-point club.
