The Boston Celtics did an incredible job revamping their team this offseason.
President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens orchestrated what could be the deal of the summer in acquiring Malcolm Brogdon from the Indiana Pacers.
Along with the pending free agent signing of Danilo Gallinari, Stevens acknowledged two big problems his team had and essentially fixed them in regards to playmaking and bench scoring.
But in doing so, Stevens created a handful of roster spots when he traded for Brogdon that heโll need to fill.
The Celtics have a ton of players on their Summer League team with great talent and potential to play for the Celtics in some capacity next season- whether on a two-way contract or even making the backend of the 15-man roster.
Thereโs a few players I believe will make the roster in some way next season that are already on Bostonโs Summer League team.
Perhaps not even needing to use their largest TPE of $17.1 M.
The Celtics already signed rookie JD Davidson to one of their open two-way slots. However, thereโs room to believe that he could still make Bostonโs roster. That said, Stevens still has three available roster spots and one two-way slot to fill.
I believe Trevion Williams, Matt Ryan, and Mfiondu Kabengele will make the 15-man roster and Juhann Begarin earning the open two-way contract.
